Hibiscus owners get new fishing boats-HibiscusByTheBay.com
Hello! Recently two Hibiscus residents have purchased new fishing boats and added them to the fleet that is in the marina. Its good to see owners buying boats and making use of one of the main advantages to living here. Having your boat in a lift just steps from your home is just plain handy and a GREAT advantage. It also means you may be more likely to use your boat more frequently than if you had to trailer it. As you may know it is BAD medicine to leave boats sit and not use them. 🙁
Right now my boat is on a trailer, in the parking lot do in part because, about the time walkway construction got underway it was being serviced. When boat’s service was done, the association let me park it in the lot. Where it is until the new walkway construction and electrical upgrades are completed.
In fact, I should be fishing today. I was going to go to the pass and see if I could catch some Sheepshead, but I am procrastinating. I am being lazy and don’t want to haul my boat to a ramp, launch it, go fishing then back to the ramp, then back here to wash it and clean fish. I know whaaaa…but I am spoiled and I have a pretty good system when the boat is in the lift. 😉
The new boats… Shawn and Laura get a REALLY pretty Sea Hunt Bay Boat with a t-top! Powered with a fuel sipping 150 horse Yamaha 4 stroke this boat has a hull that sports the Carolina Flair. I know from personal experience these are fine riding boats. This boat has the prettiest blue paint job I have ever seen! Shawn and Laura also got a COOL top from Bob’s Top Shop for over their boat slip and to protect their purty blue boat from the sun. 🙂
The next owners that added a boat to the Hibiscus By The Bay posse are Gary and Judy. Gary and Judy are customers of ours who purchased a condo unit here recently. These folks bought a pretty red Sea Pro offshore boat with a t-top and it is powered by a 175 Mercury Verado. I, at one time ran a 2003, 22 foot Sea Pro powered with a 225 Yamaha four stroke. That was a GREAT riding boat and I had no problem going 20+ miles out in that boat. Gary and Judy should be happy with their Sea Pro boat’s ride. 🙂
Please note with regard to the boat slip tops/covers the association has design guideline for these. To my knowledge Bob’s Top Shop is the only vendor that has done installs of the tops.
The association asks that you register your boat with them. They will need your contact info in case you need to be contacted do to any issues that might arise with your boat and/or your slip. They will give you a sticker to put on your boat that identifies it has having been registered. It is recommended that ALL Hibiscus By The Bay boat owners who keep their boats in a slip or lift in the marina register their boats with the Hibiscus Condo Association office and put the sticker on your boat.
Thanks for reading and have a GREAT day!
Gotta go! Mike
