Hibiscus By The Bay Marina Walkway Construction Nearly Done!
The Hibiscus By The Bay marina walkway construction and electrical update is nearly complete. The marina is looking pretty snappy with the new pedestals that have electrical outlets, water and lighting.
The wide marina cart friendly concrete walkways with the pedestals are especially nice for those of us that use the walkway under low light or at night. The lighted pedestals make it easy and safe to get to your boat in the dark. Prior to the updating of the walkway it was a dangerous proposition at best during the day or at night.
The planning and installation has made an effort to connect all the boat slip and walkway sections with a new concrete walkway. When completed there will be a nearly homogeneous walkway that connects and passes along nearly all the boat slips. This will be VERY nice for the boaters. It will also be very good for others who want to take a walk or stroll around the marina. Good job folks! 🙂
There has also been improvement to the walkway behind the large boat garages, with a new deck and wider wooden walkway.
The crew has either updated or installed new sprinklers in the areas near the walkways have been put in as well.
In locations where they deemed necessary they have constructed sloping concrete paths that are marina cart friendly so that access is easier. Before you had to either walk down the slope in the grass or take a stairway. On one slope that has a new walkway and was a little steep they have added a very nice aluminum railing.
Construction is nearly complete on a new seawall built to rectify some erosion and retention pond issues.
Good job and congratulations go out to those who were instrumental making the new walkways, electrical upgrades and pedestals become a reality. We thank you for your efforts.
Have a GREAT day! Mike and Vivian Foate
