Fish the November 2015 Tides In Panama City Beach, Florida
October has been a great fishing month with lots of bait in the bays. The trout bite has gotten better. I am catching a lot of trout easing along the flats casting a the Mirrodine mini. Fishing topwater plugs in the morning and late in the afternoon has been very successful. The afternoon topwater bite has been very good. I will switch to topwater lures once the sun gets lower on the horizon. Say about 3 in the afternoon. I’ll switch earlier if there is cloud cover. Redfish have been hit and miss for me. Sometimes I find them and they just will not eat. I have made several nice casts at redfish I can see, only to have them swim right by the lure like it wasn’t there. Other times I have made casts especially with topwater lures and they just slam it. That’s just the way it goes…fishing. 🙂
The flounder should start schooling up pretty soon and we are looking forward to trying to catch a few of those for the freezer. They are one of Vivian’s favorite fish to eat. 🙂
For you offshore folks, here is a graphic with some fishing numbers for Bay County. 🙂
