April Tides – Fish the April Tides on St. Andrew Bay!
Its late March as I write this and the fishing has really begun to heat up. Water temps are getting higher and that has got the bite going. April tides look to bring in a GREAT month to get out on the water and do some fishing.
The sheephead bite is in full swing and cobia have been caught in the area. So you know that the water temps are getting better.
Bull Redfish are still being caught at under the bridges, fishing jigs, artificial lures, live bait and cut bait. The kayakers are still getting after those bull reds under the bridges. If you go, try to time it so you get there when the water is moving.
The April tides should bring improved fishing for most folks who like to get out and do it.
Some of our Hibiscus neighbors have beat up on the sheephead which are biting GREAT right now! Check out Gary Hatcher’s mess of sheephead! The sheephead are schooled up and folks are catching the heck out of them in the pass. Congratulations Gary on your catch!
Here’s a short video on how to clean a sheephead.
We hope you get to get more fishing time in and fish the April tides! 😉
