There were lots of fish caught in June! The Hibiscus port was busy! 🙂
Happy 4th of July! I won’t be writing much for this post. It is going to be about FISHY pictures! With red snapper season open, there were lots of fish caught in June and brought back to the Hibiscus port. You can see that the folks who fish offshore did VERY well and caught some big red snapper!
Don Whitecotton told me what he was doing to get the fishing job done…
Using live bait grunts again 30-35 miles out. When bite dies down used frozen cigar minnow or sardines with 2 frozen squid. For best results big bait, big fish! I tried using only 1 frozen bait and only got 16-18 inch fish which we threw back to grow up. Plenty of beeliners, trigger fish, and grouper which we didnt keep. Had a good trip, morning got 12 fish, afternoon got ten fish all average 30 inches. You gotta love living in fishing paradise!
Got fishing fishing pics? Send them to us we’ll post them. We REALLY like fishing reports and tips to! 🙂
Well gotta go!
Light winds, calm seas and good fishing to you!
