Welcome to the highly unofficial

 SINGING BROKER HALL OF FAME

FEATURING THE VERY BEST KARAOKE SINGERS IN THE PANAMA CITY AND BAY COUNTY AREA

Inductees into this hollowed medium are at the sole and somewhat prejudiced discretion of The Singing Broker.  Complaining about not being here will probably result in a lengthy delay in induction.  Watch for new inductees, they will appear from time to time when the mood hits me.  Here we go.

Every Kingdom must have it's Queen.  In The Kingdom of Karaoke, our Queen is a very special Lady that I am so proud to call one of my best friends.  Nonie Kinner, The Queen of Karaoke, The Sultress of Song, The Princess of Tune.  It may just be Nonie but more than likely, it will be Flat and Happy, Sweet Harmony,  Three Times A Lady or some other lucky few that will have the pleasure of having the talent, the beauty and the class of Queen Nonie join in.  Long Live The Queen!

Robert "Big Dawg" Davis.  I've know Big Dawg for several years now.  In all that time, I have never heard a single person say an uncomplimentary word about the man or his music.  It is an honor to call Robert my friend.  His birthday is July 5, He is married to Michelle (who by the way has a great set of pipes herself) and they are the proud parents of a brand new baby girl that is just cute as a button.  Robert also has another son who's a real chip off the old block.  Robert and Michelle have moved to Pensacola and we really miss having him around all the time but he does make regular visits.  Big Dawg has been a star performer a both "Melodies for Babies" concert and our recent "Melodies for Kids" concert sponsored by The Kiwanis Club of Panama City Beach.  Congratulations Robert, you are a Karaoke Legend.

Susan Sullivan makes our web site more beautiful.  Susan works as a Registered Nurse.   She thrills everyone every time she steps up to the microphone, you know you're going to hear something great. Susan sings everything from country to pop to rock and does it all well. Susan does occasionally join us at Sharky's and Medhi's for some good old Karaoke but she spends most of her time singing with her fiancée Terry Brock at several locations around Panama City and Panama City Beach.  By the way, Congratulations to Susan and Terry on their engagement.  We all wish you happiness and a wonderful life together.

Michael "Mr. Saturday Night" Alford.   If the inductees were listed in any particular order, Michael would most definitely be right up at the top.  Michael has worked tireless hours bringing music to the fine folks of Panama City Beach for many years.  He's made good singers sound great and a few not so good singers sound O.K. (You might find The Singing Broker on that list) sound bearable.  This Harley Riding, Pony Tail Sporting, Jazz Singing buddy of mine introduced me to singing and made me think I could.  Thanks Michael! You can find Michael at Sharky's Beach Club on Monday and Wednesday nights and Mehdi's on Saturday nights.

Clifford Tucker "Clifford Gee" is certainly one of the most unique members of our Karaoke Family but there is one thing that everybody agrees on.  He's the hardest working singer in town.  From his precision dance moves to his one of a kind wardrobe, our buddy Clifford Gee is definitely a piece of work.  From his array of hats to his checkerboard shoes, my buddy is truly "The Entertainer of the Year". Clifford has been in Alabama for a while but is back in town, you are very likely to catch him at Sharky's on Monday or Wednesday.

The first couple of Karaoke, Eric and Debbie Jarrett have been real crowd pleasers for as long as I can remember.  They sing solo, together and with Flat and Happy and you can count on a quality performance with a big smile on top every time they walk up to the microphone.  The most important thing that Eric and Debbie have is each other and it shows.  The peanut farmer from Blakely Georgia with his favorite peanut, Eric and Debbie are a delight to have as singers and I am proud to call them my friends.

Tom Crusey, the insurance selling crooner or the crooning insurance man, only his hairdresser knows for sure.  Tom is the only man I know who will spend more money than I do on Karaoke stuff.  His mellow tenor voice rings all over town as one of the favorites.  You might find him as Tom, Sweet Harmony, Flat and Happy.  Bad news ladies, I hear that Wedding Bells are in the very near future for Tommy Boy. Not only a great singer but "The Host With The Most" as well.  Just don't let him mess with your buttons and knobs.  Thanks Tom, I treasure your friendship.

Marilyn McKinney can steal your heart with her hauntingly mellow alto voice.  Add to that her charm and stage presence and you have a first class winner.  Recently recruited for the cast of "The Red Stocking Review" and "Back To The 50's Tonight", Marilyn proves again and again that she is not only a remarkable soloist but a real asset as a Team Player.    Marilyn, you are a wonderful singer, a wonderful entertainer and a wonderful friend.  Thank you for being a part of our little musical family.

Rocky the Nerd from the 50's, Thin Rocky, In a Suit?, with Nonie, Y-3, Cross Dressed?, with Brother and best buddy Randall on B95.1FM

The Hall of Fame would not be complete without its own creator - Mr. Rocky Akins - as a member.  I met Rocky about 4 years ago in a doctor's office where we started chatting about ... what else ... karaoke, and our love to sing.  I didn't see Rocky again until I started going to one of our local singing spots.  There I got to know him and his wonderful humorous personality and charm.  I remember Rocky was my biggest fan when I filled in occasionally for the all-time famous "Mr. Saturday Night".   Soon he was not only a customer and fellow singer, but a good friend.  When I tried to retire from hosting karaoke, Rocky made me an offer I just couldn't refuse.  To make a long story short (hopefully), we've partnered up and are having a blast!  Rocky practices his singing all the time and it definitely shows when he steps up to the microphone.  And even though there's 70lbs less of our beloved singing buddy, his heart has always been 100 times bigger than he'll ever be.  You just don't meet people often that have the compassion for others, generosity, wit, humor and charm all in the body and soul that our Rocky has.

We're all honored to call you "friend", Rocky, and so proud to watch you continually grow with your singing.   Remember, "create something beautiful with the intention of giving it away" ... and you do, every time you sing.

Your Partner in Song,

Nonie  :}

Rocky is now appearing with Y-3

Our newest inductee to the Karaoke Hall of Fame is the beautiful and talented Nicole Rapisardi.  Did I say beautiful, well keep looking because the closer you look the more beautiful Nicole becomes.  This little bundle of joy brings a fresh new look to an age old sound of true country music.  From Patsy Cline to the newest country Diva's, Nicole has won the hearts of all our singing family and when she steps up to the mic, the room gets quiet.  Nobody wants to miss a note.  "NICOLE", remember that name, you're going to be hearing it a lot at the CMA Awards in just a couple of years.  We love ya, Baby Girl!  Nicole has moved to BooFoo N.C. and we all look forward to the day that she will come back home. Baby Girl, we all miss you so much.
